DR. Anthony Giordano

Founder & CEO

Dr. Anthony J. Giordano currently serves as the Executive Director of S.P.E.C.I.E.S. A wildlife ecologist and conservation practitioner by training, he is also the architect of Project Neofelis, the largest program in the world dedicated to further the conservation of clouded leopards, and the science of their behavior and ecology. Anthony first became obsessed with clouded leopards as a child and shortly after graduating college, turned that obsession into a field research technician job in Thailand with the help of the late Dr. Alan Rabinowitz. Among Anthony’ extensive research accomplishments since then include being among the first scientists to study the ecology of Sunda Clouded Leopards on Borneo.

Danielle spent a decade as a zookeeper, with cats being her greatest passion. Thanks to a very special clouded leopard named Suksn, Danielle became particularly fond of “cloudies” and sought opportunities to help save them in their wild habitats. After a Felid TAG conference, she was introduced to Anthony Giordano.
